    Clow Valve has an immediate opening for a Brass Grinder at our Metal Casting Facility. 



    Starting rate of pay: $18.62/hr

    Shift: 3rd

    Clow Valve has a current opening for a brass grinder. Responsible for grinding various brass part that are utilized as components in Clow valves and hydrants by performing the following duties:
    •Check guards, tool rests, and wheel for proper spacing and condition.
    •Lock out and tag out of equipment if necessary.
    •Retrieval of parts from tub.
    •Removal of excess metal from part by using proper grinding tool.
    •Placing finished part in proper tub. 


    Requirements of this position include:
    •Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 10 lbs, some lifting of up to 50 lbs.
    •Frequent lifting greater than 40 times per hour.
    •Bending/ twisting/ and standing for greater than 8 hours.
    •Ability to read and write and understand training and instruction.
    •Ability to work in extreme heat.
    •Must be able to utilize and work around moving machinery.
    •Must be able to utilize proper PPE including: respirator, metatarsal guarded boots, eye protection, hearing protection, apron, gloves and sleeves.
