  • Overview

    The Safety Technician promotes manufacturing excellence by integrating modernized safety knowledge across Clow Valve’s workforce.


    Sustainability: Maintain 97% completion of all employee safety training per month.  

    Employee Experience: Create and conduct 8 large group trainings per year.

    Leadership Experience: Complete 2 continuing education opportunities per year. 

    Customer Experience: Identify and implement 4 training improvements a year.




    1. Compliance (60%): Accurately track and maintain all records pertaining to safety and proactively work with supervisors to ensure 100% compliance with all employee training, risk management and facility inspections. Participate as an Administrator for Pure Safety, Cority, ISN, and Safetech, ensuring accurate records and distribution of all safety software systems. Promotes unity among all Joint Safety committees by acting as an advisor on behalf of the safety department, ensures notes are thorough and distributed in a timely manner.
    2. Training and Development (35%): Create, distribute, and conduct modernized safety training across all of the Clow Valve workforce. Diligently research workforce schedules to ensure maximized timing of training as well as training effectiveness. Acts as an advisor for safety related items throughout the workforce by cultivating trusting relationships with the employees from the date of hire. Proactively seeks ways to enhance the safety knowledge base among Clow Valve and assists Safety Engineers with giving safety trainings, conducting risk assessments, and regular safety audits.
    3. Project Coordination (5%): Facilitate and implement all planning requirements for safety related events by coordinating the booking of event venues, equipment, merchandise, meal preparations and all other needs.


    Technical Skills:

    • Bi-lingual in Spanish is required.
    • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office, along with good computer skills.
    • Understanding of web based training systems (experience in Medgate and PureSafety a plus)
    • Strong organizational skills.

    Education & Experience:

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • 1 -2 years manufacturing experience.
    • Clerical experience may be considered.
    • Willingness to attend Train the Trainer certification courses. i.e. Forklift, Aerial Lift, Fall Protection etc.
