The advanced sales engineer positions Clow Valve as the number one choice in the water works industry by initiating calculated, proactive and innovative sales strategies that generates business relationships and drives demand.
1.) Showcase Products - create and cause demand through leading at least five live demos, presentations or CEU classes per month to illustrate and educate about products.
2.) Relationship Building - Maintain and build relationships by leading 20-40(depending on territory) face to face meetings or on-site municipality visits per month.
3.) Expand Scope - Grow territory base specifications by adding 5 high value target accounts for hydrant specification and adding 20 minor hydrant and valve specifications.
Active Sales - Act as the face of Clow Valve through pro-activley building relationships and creating opportunities that increase municipalities acceptance and distributor's knowledge of Clow products. Attend tradeshows /conferences and become an active member of the association community. Foster municipal and distributor relations through on-site visits, demos and CEU trainings to increase sales. Respond to field service and troubleshooting requests with ownership and expertise to ensure an excellent customer experience.
Planning & Strategy - Astutely gather, analyze and evaluate market intelligence as well as keenly assess pricing level of territory to ensure success. Facilitate innovative and progressive solutions, by breaking down specifications and giving municipalities new alternatives to solve their needs. Pro-actively develop knowledge of industry standards, requirements and products to become the go-to resource for all municipalities and distributors. Actively seek opportunities to expand product knowledge and customer demand with current and prospective municipalities by cultivating and fostering trusting relationships through face-to-face meetings, scheduled demos, and thorough product training. Vet and recommend new products and services to the national Sales Manager and Engineering Department. Manage and complete required paperwork, such as invoices and reports, while meticulously tracking and turning in expenses and bids on time.
Inner-company Communications - Coordinate and follow-through on customer requests by interacting with Clow team members with clear, timely, and succinct communications. Act as an accountability partner for municipalities, distributors and internal Clow staff to ensure prompt delivery of solutions and responses to the customer.
Personal Improvement - Actively seek opportunities for professional development and personal growth to expand sales capacity through practice, role-playing, and collaboration. Foster knowledgeable industry relationships that permit coaching and mentoring of sales competencies and systematic understanding to maximize effectiveness.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, PE preferred, or ability to get PE within 1 year of employment.
