  • Overview

    The HR Coordinator supports and facilitates an engaging company culture through purposeful, personable recruiting and collaboration on team member engagement and life cycle initiatives. This role unifies Clow with consistent and timely internal communications to increase company wide awareness, engagement and excitement of initiatives and programs.

    • Turnover Reduction: Reduce negative turnover of hourly team members by 1% per year.
    • Employee Experience: Company-wide score of at least 8 out of 10 on. Employee Experience survey.
    • Engagement Events: All team member engagement events and are produced on-time and within budget 100% of the time.
    • Communications Initiative: Internal Clow communication initiatives are produced on time and within budget per pending communication strategy.


    • Team Member Life Cycle (35%): Through purposeful, personable HR services, ensure recruiting process is followed and the right hires are selected for Clow. Partner with hiring manager to design and facilitate hourly recruiting process including listing position, thorough screening of applicants, coordination of and participation in hiring interviews with the hiring manager, pre-employment set-up and ATS updates including tracking and dis-positioning of candidates. Support team member life cycle initiatives through offering an open door and desire to serve. Facilitate orientation for hourly employees. Represent and advertise Clow as the ideal place to work through presence at college, local and IWD job fairs and similar events, as well as posting articles, updates and important information to appropriate public mediums (TV, social media, newspaper, etc.). Greet and assist visitors with a personable and friendly demeanor.
    • Team Member Engagement Events (30%): Collaborate with HR and communications team to create and implement team member engagement initiatives. Effectively coordinate all employee engagement events including employee picnic, Service Awards, Banquet, Teacher Appreciation Day, and any other selected events. Advertise and facilitate wellness program offerings including wellness fairs, LHI and tracking incentive points for wellness programs. Exemplify Clow’s culture of self-improvement with personal development like continuing education and conferences like SHRM.
    • Communication (20%): Ensure company-wide communication by partnering with Communications Task force and implementing internal communications strategy effectively and assisting in gathering company-wide information upon request. Produce and distribute company newsletter on schedule.
    • HR Support (15%): As the face of Clow for the Machine Shop building, courteously greet visitors and direct them to their destination and appropriately distribute mail within the department. Proactively monitor HR Policy books, keep and track safety boot policy, and annually document retention/destruction for HR department. File and maintain hourly personnel documents while performing additional clerical work.




    Technical Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Strong computer skills, working with a variety of programs.
    • Experience with HRIS.

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in recruiting, hiring and on-boarding required.
